Women’s Soccer Continues Road Swing Today at Portland State

HILLSDALE, Ore. – Chicago State women's soccer headed west for the first time this season as it continued its season-long, nine-game road swing here today but lost an 8-0 decision to host Portland State at Hillsdale Stadium.
 
PSU started the scoring in the opening minute for an early 1-0 lead while adding goals in the 33rd and 45th minutes to go into intermission with a 3-0 advantage.
 
The Vikings added scores in the 54th, 74th, 80th, 85th and 88th minutes to end the game.
 
Sophomores Mariela Alba (Hanover Park, Ill./Bartlett) and Taylor Rankin (Dearborn, Mich./Edsel Ford) each recorded two shot attempts for the Green and White, and junior Audra Wisehart (Sandusky, Ohio/Huron) notched a game-high six saves in goal.
 
The Cougars travel to Rogers Park on Chicago's north side for an inter-city contest at Loyola this Friday night in a live ESPN3 broadcast with the opening kickoff set for 7 p.m.
