Cougar Fan Code of Conduct
Chicago State University (CSU) is proud of our athletic tradition, and we are committed to making participation in athletics an integral and educational part of every student-athlete's college experience. We are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for visiting teams, student-athletes, faculty, staff, students and all visitors. All guests are expected to uphold the highest standards in sportsmanship and are responsible for their behavior and that of their guests.
Fans should support players, coaches, and officials in a positive way, and treat other fans and visiting teams with courtesy. CSU prohibits all verbal and physical harassment based on sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or gender expression. Guests must refrain from vulgar, abusive, obscene or discriminatory language or gestures.
When attending a game please remain respectful and abide our governing values:
- Cheer for the Cougars, not against the visitors
- Refrain from personal comments about players, coaches or officials
The code of conduct is intended to address behavior that detracts from the game day experience. Any fan in violation of these provisions will be subject to ejection without refund and loss of ticket privileges for future games.
