Women's Soccer Concludes Historic 2025 Season at Stonehill

NORTH EASTON, Ma. - The Chicago State University women's soccer team concluded their 2025 season on Sunday battling the Stonehill University Skyhawks. The Cougars were able to score one goal on the afternoon but eventually fell to the Skyhawks by a score of 3-1.

The Cougars had four scoring opportunities throughout the game with four total shots, and two being on goal, with one of those being a goal. After falling behind 2-0 in the second half, Renee Davis was able to find the back of the net with a goal in the 75th minute to pull within one goal. With another scoring the chance, the Cougars could not find the net and went down to the Skyhawks by a 3-1 score. Marley Hunter and Jacqueline Kambere were the other Cougars with the best scoring chances. Aviana Gutierrez made seven saves on the game to close out her outstanding freshman season. Gutierrez played every second of the season for the Cougars as the goalkeeper. Alexis Boyer, Veronika Avila, and Tara Savage played all 90 minutes for the Cougars. 

The Chicago State women's soccer team ends their 2025 season with a 5-9-5 overall record. The five wins will go down as the most in a single season for the Cougars and will set their attention to the 2026 season.
