Women’s Soccer Opens Five-Game Road Swing at Oakland

ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Chicago State women's soccer team opened a five-game road swing Sunday afternoon and fell to host Oakland by a score of 5-0 at OU's Soccer Field.
 
OU (3-3) tallied its first goal in the 25th minute to gain a 1-0 advantage that it held on into halftime.
 
The Golden Grizzlies added four goals in the second half between the 61st and 89th minutes to seal the victory.
 
Sophomore Alejandra Alonso (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) led the Cougars with two shot attempts, while fellow classmate Audra Wisehart (Sandusky, Ohio/Huron) recorded six saves in goal.
 
CSU returns to action on Sept. 11 when it heads to Terre Haute, Ind., to battle Indiana State in an ESPN 3 live online broadcast with the opening kickoff set for 1 p.m., Eastern Time.
