Women’s Soccer Suffers Defeat to Illinois State in Return to Kroc Stadium

CHICAGO – The Chicago State women's soccer team made its return to Kroc Stadium with its final non-conference contest against visiting Illinois State earlier today before suffering a 10-0 defeat to the visiting Redbirds.

ISU (7-5-1) took a 7-0 advantage in the first half after scoring goals between the fifth and 39th minutes before adding three additional tallies in the second stanza for the final margin.

Freshman Taylor Rankin (Dearborn, Mich./Ford) paced the Green and White with three shot attempts on goal, while junior Gabby Klemp (Muskegon, Mich./Reeths-Puffer) and sophomore Audra Wisehart (Sandusky, Ohio/Huron) each recorded five saves.

CSU (1-9) opens Western Athletic Conference play on Friday, Oct. 7 at New Mexico State with the opening kickoff set for 12 p.m., Mountain Time.
