ATHENS, Ga. — The Chicago State men's golf team wrapped up competition at the 2026 Southern Intercollegiate on Monday, placing
14th out of 15 teams in a strong regional field at
Athens Country Club, where the event was hosted by the University of Georgia.
The Cougars were led by
Kaleb Lambert, who posted rounds of
+6 and
+7 to finish at
+13, tying for 40th.
Jayden Brar followed with a
T58 finish at
+17, recording rounds of
+8 and
+9.
Theo Hustler finished tied for 72nd at
+21 after rounds of
+12 and
+9.
Sahil Nathoo added another scoring round for CSU, finishing tied for 77th at
+25 with rounds of
+7 and
+18.
Rounding out the lineup was
Jose Monge, who placed 81st at
+27 after rounds of
+13 and
+14.
The tournament featured a competitive field including Georgia, Western Carolina, Mercer, and several Big South and SoCon programs. Western Carolina's Jace Butcher claimed medalist honors at
–2.
With another tournament of high-level competition under their belts, the Cougars now shift their attention to their next test. Chicago State will compete in the Austin Peay Intercollegiate on March 23–24, continuing their spring schedule as they build toward postseason play.
