CHICAGO, Ill. – Chicago State Golf would like to extend its sincere appreciation to PGA TOUR Superstore Orland Park for its tremendous support of the Cougar men's and women's golf programs through the donation of a golf simulator and access to indoor practice space at the store.
The generous contribution has provided Chicago State's student-athletes with a valuable year-round training resource, particularly during the challenging winter months when outdoor practice opportunities are limited. The simulator has become an important tool in player development, allowing both programs to continue refining their skills regardless of weather conditions.
Chicago State Golf would also like to recognize Janelle Nickel for her commitment to the Cougar golf programs. Through her efforts, Chicago State's student-athletes have been welcomed into the store and provided with an indoor environment where they can practice, train and continue their development throughout the season.
"The support we have received from PGA TOUR Superstore Orland Park and Janelle Nickel has been invaluable to our student-athletes," said Jean Macon. "Having access to a golf simulator and indoor practice space has allowed our teams to stay sharp during the winter months and continue working toward their goals. Their generosity has played a significant role in the growth and success of our programs."
The impact of the partnership was evident throughout the 2025-26 season. The Chicago State women's golf team concluded the year with one of the strongest finishes in program history, tying for fourth place at the Northeast Conference Women's Golf Championship. The men's golf team also enjoyed a successful campaign, benefiting from the additional training opportunities that helped prepare the Cougars for competition throughout the year.
The simulator will continue to serve as a vital resource for both programs moving forward, helping Chicago State's student-athletes develop their games, improve their consistency and compete at a high level year-round.
Chicago State Golf is grateful for the partnership and support provided by PGA TOUR Superstore Orland Park and Janelle Nickel and looks forward to continuing the relationship as Cougar Golf continues to grow and achieve success both on and off the course.
"Partnerships like this make a tremendous difference in the student-athlete experience," Macon added. "We are thankful for the investment in our programs and the belief in what we are building at Chicago State."
