Marcus Tankersley Named NEC Prime Performer

CHICAGO, Ill. – Chicago State men's basketball guard Marcus Tankersley (Chattanooga, Tenn.) has been recognized as a NEC Prime Performer following a pair of strong outings last week.

Tankersley delivered an impressive 24 points and 4 rebounds against Butler, showcasing his scoring ability against a Big East opponent. He followed that performance with 13 points and 5 rebounds versus UIC, continuing to provide consistent production for the Cougars.

Marcus Tankersley averaged 18.5 points and 4.5 rebounds over two games this week.

The guard has emerged as a key contributor for Chicago State, combining offensive firepower with steady rebounding. His recognition as an NEC Prime Performer highlights his impact and leadership on the court as the Cougars continue their non-conference slate.

Chicago State returns to action this week looking to build on Tankersley's momentum and carry forward the energy he has brought to the lineup.

 The Cougars will travel to face Minnesota on Tuesday, November 18th with tip-off set for 7 p.m. Following the contest the men's basketball team will travel to Iowa City, Iowa for a matchup against Iowa at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 20th.
