CHICAGO – The Chicago State men's basketball head coach
Lance Irvin announced that
Levelle Zeigler (Point Guard/Oakland, Calif./East Los Angeles College) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Cougars men's basketball team for the 2020-21 season.
The Oakland, California native becomes the second Cougar to come to Chicago from the East Los Angeles College program, joining rising senior
Solomon Hunt (Pomona, Calif./Upland H.S.).
During his sophomore season at East Los Angeles, Zeigler averaged 9.5 points per game, 4.1 assists per game, 3.3. rebounds per game and 1.5 steals game while leading the team to a 29-1 record, with a 25-game winning streak, and a berth in the CCCAA State Championship Elite Eight.
In 30 games started, Zeigler shot nearly 50 percent from the floor (106-of-213) while scoring in double figures on 13 occasions. Zeigler also dropped a season-best 10 dimes in a 102-72 win over Pasadena City. His efforts during his sophomore campaign resulted in a first-team All-South Coast North Conference selection.
