Cougars Drop 2015 Season Opener at Bowling Green, 4-0

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Chicago State women's soccer dropped a 4-0 decision to host Bowling Green here tonight in the season opener for both teams at BGSU's Cochrane Field.

The Falcons produced an early 2-0 in the opening 15 minutes of the match behind goals from Alexa Cheripko (fifth minute) and Erica Hubert (11th minute). BGSU added two more goals in the 27th and 28th minutes to complete the scoring and end the first half with a 4-0 advantage.

Newcomers Sarah Drury (Laingsburg, Mich./Saint Johns), Berina Gradjan (Morton Grove, Ill./Niles North) and Amber Jones (St. Louis, Mo./Mary Institute Country Day) each recorded two shot attempts to lead CSU in the contest, while freshman goalkeeper Audra Wisehart (Sandusky, Ohio/Huron) tallied 10 saves in her first collegiate start.

The Cougars conclude their season-opening weekend in Ohio Sunday afternoon at Cleveland State on a live broadcast on ESPN3 with a start time of 12 p.m., CST.
