Cougars win BIG in Home Opener

Box Score CHICAGO - Chicago State shot an impressive 61.1 percent from the field, on Tuesday (Nov. 18) in the Cougars 102-51 victory over the Redhawks. The home opening win moves the Cougars to 1-2 while IUN is now 2-5.
 
The Redhawks out-shot the Cougars 40.0 percent to the Cougars 33.3 percent from three-point range, but it was not enough to overcome a dominating Chicago State performance.  The Cougars never looked back after trailing by four points early in the 1st half. They led 24-2 in fast break points and 62-30 in points in the paint. A stifling defense forced 28 turnovers, including 22 steals.

Nate Flores had a game-high 14 points for IUN.  

Clark Rosenberg led all players with 22 points and a 76.9 shooting percentage (10-13). Joshua Batson (Chicago, Ill./Curie) had a team-high seven steals. 

The Cougars will host Trinity Christian College on Saturday, November 22nd at the Jones Convocation Center. The game will tip-off at 2 p.m. CST
