Cougars Post Three Strong Performances Ahead of Prairie State Cup

CHICAGO, IL. — Chicago State women's triathlon continued its season with strong individual performances, highlighted by a season-best effort from Melaika Russell.

Russell finished 13 places ahead of her ranking while posting a season-best time of 1:22:17, coming just one minute shy of her career-best mark.

Shaina Whitt and Jasmine Cruz followed closely behind, with both athletes recording career-best times. Whitt finished in 1:34:12, while Cruz crossed the finish line in 1:40:06.

The Cougars will return to competition at the Prairie State Collegiate Cup.
