CHICAGO, Ill. – Chicago State University Head Men's Soccer Coach Norris Howze has announced the Cougars' 2026 schedule, a challenging slate that features regional matchups, non-conference tests, and NEC Conference competition as Chicago State prepares for another exciting season on the pitch.
The Cougars will open the year with a home exhibition against Oakland on Aug. 9 before officially beginning the regular season on Aug. 15 at Roosevelt. Chicago State's non-conference schedule also includes matchups against Lindenwood, St. Thomas, Missouri State, DePaul, Bellarmine, Bradley and Eastern Illinois.
Chicago State will play seven matches at home during the 2026 campaign, welcoming Oakland (exhibition), UW-Milwaukee, Eastern Illinois, Howard, FDU, Le Moyne and Long Island. All home matches will be played at Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy High School, providing Cougar fans with multiple opportunities to support the program throughout the season.
NEC Conference play begins on Sept. 27 on the road against Stonehill. On Oct. 1 the Cougars host Howard before continuing league competition against FDU, Le Moyne, Central Connecticut State, Long Island and Mercyhurst.
The regular season concludes on Nov. 8 at Mercyhurst, with the top teams advancing to the NEC Conference Men's Soccer Semifinals and Finals, scheduled for Nov. 12 and Nov. 15.
Under the leadership of Coach Howze, the Cougars will look to build momentum throughout the season while competing against a strong schedule designed to prepare the team for conference play and postseason contention.
