LOUISVILLE, KY. - Chicago State men's track & field continued competition with strong showings across jumps, throws, hurdles, and distance events in open sections.
In the field, Xavier Beatty highlighted the day in the men's triple jump, placing 10th with a personal-record mark of 14.49 meters, while Khalis Reyes added a 25th-place finish at 13.55 meters. In the throws, Kendrick Scott recorded a personal best of 14.70 meters in the men's shot put to finish 29th. The Cougars also found success in the vertical jumps, as Earnest Davenport cleared 2.08 meters to place sixth in the men's high jump.
On the track, Faustin Kaseba placed 15th in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.25. Chicago State was well represented in the distance events, led by Denis Kirui, who finished 20th in the men's 5,000 meters in 15:12.55. In the men's mile, Jacob Draaisma clocked 4:22.98 to place 85th, while Dean Solomon followed with a time of 4:54.30. Collins Kuyo rounded out the distance efforts with a 75th-place finish in the men's 3,000 meters, crossing the line in 8:58.31.
