CHICAGO, Ill. - The Chicago State University track and field teams returned to the track for the first time after the holiday break competing in the Badger Midwest Invite hosted by University of WIsconsin.
The men's team saw three event winners on the afternoon led by Faustin Kaseba, Xaiver Beatty and Earnest Davenport. Kaseba won the 60-meter hurdles with a run of 8.20 to set a personal best. Beatty won the long jump with a leap of 7.06m. Beatty also won the triple jump with a leap of 140.02m. Finally, Davenport won the high jump with a jump of 2.05m.
The women's team saw two event wins by Katherine Thornton and Weronika Stanczak. Thronton won the 60-meter hurdles with a personal best run of 8.75. Stanczak also set a personal best time of 1:40.10 in the 600m run.
