BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - Chicago State men's golf kicked off the Jim Delapa Collegiate with determination and heart at Point O'Woods Golf & Country Club in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Facing a competitive NCAA Division I field, the Cougars battled through challenging conditions and showcased flashes of promise across the opening rounds.

Kaleb Lambert led the way with a steady performance on the par 3s, finishing even par and ranking among the top half of the field in that category. Lambert also carded a birdie and contributed to the team's total of 12 birdies on the day.
Sahil Nathoo and
Mason Fears added depth to the Cougar lineup, each recording multiple pars and showing resilience throughout their rounds. Nathoo also notched a birdie and demonstrated poise under pressure on the longer holes.
Despite a tough scoring day overall, the Cougars remained focused and committed to improvement heading into the final round. Their perseverance and team spirit were evident as they supported one another and stayed locked in on every shot.
