CHICAGO, Ill. – The Chicago State University men's soccer team is coming off a 3-11-1 overall record and a 2-5-1 conference record in 2024. Entering his fourth season, head coach Norris Howze is looking to take the next step and ready for an exciting season in 2025. The Cougars look to rely on senior leadership in 2025. Key returners for the Cougars include
Hilary Odhiambo who played in seven games in 2024 and logged one goal and one assist.
Bill Okumu, who played eight games in 2024 including seven starts.
Zephyn Brockert-Kress returns for his senior season and is also coming off a one goal and one assist season.
Joshua Ceniceros also returns for his final season and will look to lead the defense in 2025.
Key freshmen to watch out for include midfielders
Karma Bhagentsang and
Aaron Zhao who will look to make an immediate impact for Chicago State.

The Chicago State men's soccer team was voted to a ninth place finish in the men's soccer preseason coaches' poll that was release today by the NEC.
The Chicago State men's soccer team opens the season by taking on Lindenwood University on Thursday August 21 at home starting at 12:00 PM. On Sunday August 24 the Cougars will return home to battle the University of St. Thomas (MN) at 1:00 PM. Both games will be contested at Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep.
