CHICAGO, Ill. – Chicago State freshman defender
Jayden Quezada has been named to the
2025 NEC Men's Soccer All-Rookie Team, the league announced.
Quezada, a native of Chicago and graduate of SAI Academy, made an immediate impact in his debut season with the Cougars. Starting nearly every match, he logged over
900 minutes of action across 15 contests, showcasing consistency and resilience on the back line.
While primarily a defensive presence, Quezada also contributed offensively with
two assists – one against Stonehill (Sept. 28) and another versus Central Connecticut State (Oct. 23). He recorded
nine shots on the season, with five on goal, and demonstrated his versatility by pushing forward in key moments while maintaining defensive stability.
Quezada becomes the latest Cougar to earn NEC postseason honors, reflecting the program's growing presence in the conference. His selection highlights both his individual talent and the team's commitment to developing young players.
Chicago State men's soccer concluded its 2025 campaign with several competitive performances against conference opponents, laying the foundation for continued growth in the seasons ahead.
