CHICAGO, Ill. — Chicago State University Department of Athletics has officially announced the 2025–26 competition schedule for its Women's Triathlon program. Entering its second season as one of the NCAA's emerging sports for women, the Cougars are set to compete in two early-season events as the program continues to grow its presence regionally and nationally.
The Cougars open their season on
Sunday, August 31 at the
Geist Sprint & Olympic Triathlon in Fishers, Indiana. Hosted at the scenic Geist Waterfront Park, this race will test athletes with both sprint and Olympic-distance formats—offering valuable early-season experience and national exposure.
One week later, on
Sunday, September 7, CSU heads north to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to compete in the
Rhoades McKee Reeds Lake Triathlon. Held at historic John Collins Park, this event is known for its technical bike course and energetic local support.
"We're excited about the schedule and the level of competition our student-athletes will face this fall," said Head Coach Maurice Wills. "These events are important not just for race experience but also for building momentum and visibility for the program as we continue to grow."
Chicago State continues to invest in triathlon as part of its broader commitment to women's athletics and Olympic sports. With a talented returning roster and newcomers, the Cougars are focused on competitive development and academic excellence.
