KOHLER, Wis. – The Chicago State University Women's Golf team took part in the opening round of the 2025 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship this morning. The golf team will participate in the 2025 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship from May 5-7 at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin.
After the finishing the first day of play, Chicago State currently sits in 8th place with a team score of 325. Howard University and North Carolina A&T University currently paces the field with a 302.
Chicago State was led by freshman Begona Perez, who carded a 79. Junior
Gia Lamba finished with a 80.
Faith McKinney and
Aarushi Bhanot finished with scores of 81 and 85 for the round.
Play for the Cougars continues on Tuesday at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin for round two.
