KNOXVILLE, TN - The Chicago State track and field teams closed out action at the Tennessee Invitational on Saturday and posted eight top-10 finishes.
Chicago State's sprinters had a great meet highlighted by Raymon'd Oriakhi's third-pace finish in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.96. Freshman Rachel Whyte continues to impress as she hit a new PR in the 400m with a time of 56.07 while reigning NEC Female Track Athlete of the Week Sanaa Parker placed eight in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.69.
In the high jump Ernest Davenport jumped a 1.98m for a eighth place finish while Lena Cleveland jumped 5.87m in the long jump for the 79th best jump in Division I this outdoor season. In the triple jump NIkai McNee took fourth with a a top-100 distance in Division 1 with a jump of 14.69
