PHILADELPHIA - The Chicago State track and field teams closed out action at the historic Penn Relays on Saturday.
Raymond Oriakhi just missed qualifying for the 110m hurdles placing 12th with a time of 14.14 he also placed 18th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 52.52, placing third his heat.
On the women's side Lena Cleveland earned two top-25 finishes in the long jump and the triple jump. Cleveland finished in 25th in the triple jump with a jump of 11.34 and finished in 25th in the long jump with a jump of 5.58.
Nikai McNee placed sixth in the triple jump with a jump of 14.22 and Skyler McGhee took 18th in the long jump with a jump of 6.50
The Cougar relays were impressive. The women's 4x100m placed second with at time of 46.30 while the 4x200m competed in the Championship of America among a loaded field and placed sixth with a time of 1:36.86. In the 4x400m the Cougars placed fourth with a time of 3:44.84

The Cougars will now turn their attention to the NEC Championships which will take place May 3-4 in Easton, Ma., hosted by Stonehill.
