RALEIGH, NC - The Chicago State track and field team opened the 2025 outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays on Friday.
Raymond Oriakhi was a highlight of the day taking fourth place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.88 Mychah Spells placed 25th with a time of 14.85. Those two times are Nos. 1 and No. 2 on the NEC outdoor performance list.Â
On the women's side Rachel Whyte played 39th with a time of 12.26 in the 100m while teammate Queanna Taylor placed 58th with a time of 12.51. Whites time places her second on the NEC Outdoor performance list in the 100m.Â
In the 400m, Sanaa Parker and Rikki Gray finished back-to-back with Parker finishing in 32nd place with a time of 55.93, while Gray finished with a time of 55.93, both placing in the top 40 of the event.
