Hammock Beach, Fla. - The Chicago State women's golf team closed out action at the Hammock Beach Invitational hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne. in sixth place, moving up one spot in the final round on Friday. The Cougars finished just four strokes behind NEC foe, Stonehill.
Gia Lamba led the Cougars for the second consecutive tournament finishing tied for fourth place with a two-round score of 7-over par 151 (77-74—151). Her finish was her second top-5 finish as she took medalist hours at the Starks Invitational last week.
Aarushi Bhanot closed in 22nd place and with a score of 15-over par159 (81-78—159). In all, each Cougar lowered their score in the second round
Chicago State will head to Puerto Rico where they will compete at the Alabama State Hornet Puerto Rico Invitational.
