MONTGOMERY - The Chicago State women's golf team opened up spring action at the Alabama State Spring Invitational Feb. 16-17.
The Cougars placed 8th in the 12 team field and were led by Begona Perez who earned a top 15 finish placed 13th with a two-day score of +16 (79-81–- 160) Gia Lamba rebounded in the final day of competition and moved up 10 spots in the standings closing with a +30 (91-83 —174)
The Cougars are back in action on Feb. 23-24 at the HBCU National Championship at ARCIS in Weston, Florida.
