YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- The Chicago State Cougars closed the Youngstown State Mid Major Invite with a great seance day showing which featured 20 personal bests and four event titles highlighted by a win in the women's 400m relay and a second-place finish on the men's side.
Sanaa Parker kicked off the racing with a win in the 400m with a time of 57.59 a new season best while teammate Rikki Gray placed third with a time of 58.38. On the men's side Kai Sheridan ran a PR with a time of 50.72 to finish in the top-10 in ninth place.
Raymond Oriahki continues is dominance in the 60m hurdles winning the event with a time of 7.93 which is a new PR. Ishan Cooper (8.25) and Mychah Spells (8.35) also finished in the top 5 in third and fifth place, respectfully.
In the 800m Trevon Prince placed third with a time of 1:55.10 while Weronika Stanczak was 12th running a 2:24.14.
The women's 200m was littered with Cougars in the top-5. Rachel Whyte claimed the event with a time of 24.74 while Parker took second place with a time of 24.81 - good enough for the second best time in the NEC. Gray finished in fifth with a 25.26. Parker and Gray posted season-best times while Queanna Taylor posted a new PR with a time of 25.72.
The women's 4dx400m relay won the event with a time of 3:57.20 while the men's team took runner up with a time of 3:19.74.
In the field events Karly Klaer placed third with a distance of 12.50m while NIkai McNee earned runner up honors in the men's triple jump with a distance of 14.76m, a new PR and the top distance in the NEC.
Karly Klaer threw a 11.16m in the weight throw which was good for 16th place.

The Cougars will compete at the Blue Demon Alumni Classic on Feb. 8 before heading to the NEC Championships on Staten Island Feb. 16-17.
