CJ Ray has been recognized as a
NEC Prime Performer following his standout performance in the Cougars' 84-75 victory over crosstown rival Loyola Chicago on Sunday evening.
Ray continued his hot streak, scoring in double figures for the fourth consecutive game. He delivered a season-high
19 points, fueled by three clutch three-pointers in the second half, and nearly secured a double-double with
nine rebounds. His effort was pivotal in guiding Chicago State to the road win and further cemented his role as a leader on the floor.
The honor highlights Ray's consistency and impact as the Cougars push forward in NEC play, with his scoring ability and presence on the boards proving vital to the team's success.
The Cougars return to action on December 16, 2025 as they travel to face Bowling Green with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m.
