Crete, Ill. — The Chicago State men's golf team defeated Governors State 4-1 today in a match play event at Lincoln Oaks Golf Course (par 71, 6,306 yards).

Jayveenrhaj Gunaseelan each picked up wins in the 18-hole event.
The next action for the men's golf team will be April 29-May 2 at the Western Athletic Conference Golf Championship in Boulder City, Nevada, at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
