Chicago–Chicago State director of men's and women's track & field and cross country
Paul Zavala announced today that Javon Bruce has signed a grant-in-aid agreement to join CSU's men's cross country and men's track & field programs.
Harden competes for Sterling High School in Sterling, Illinois where he is a two-time team captain, two-time all-conference performer and a four-time varsity letter award winner. He has a personal best time of 16:28 in the three-mile cross country run and has earned Golden Warrior Award and Most Valuable Player Award.
"We are excited to have Javon be part of our team next season and will be a great addition to our distance program,'' said Zavala. "He has the leadership skills we are looking for in our student-athletes and will make an immediate impact on our program."
