PEORIA, Ill. - The Chicago State Cougars resumed their season at the Bradley Pink Classic with solid performances on the day. The team was led by Dennis Kirui and Collins Kuyo over the 8K distance race. A total of 21 teams competed on the afternoon providing plenty of competition for Chicago State to compete well against.
The day began with a 1K race exhibition. Representing the Cougars was Trevon Prince in the 11 person race. Prince finished fifth place with a 2:39.60 to begin the day for Chicago State.
Kirui led the charge with a phenomenal time of 25:34.12 securing 89th overall finish to lead the Cougars. Collins Kuyo finished five seconds later with a 25:39.64 finishing 100th overall. Jacob Draaisma put together another solid effort in the 8K with a 26:49.31. Dean Solomon and Jason Artege rounded out the finishes for Chicago State with Solomon clocking a 29:00.82 and Artege finishing in 31:15.37.
