CHICAGO — The Chicago State University Athletics Department has announced ticketing information for the upcoming National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC), which begins on Thursday, Dec. 2 and Friday, Dec. 3 at the Jones Convocation Center.
Tickets are $5 for the general public and $4 for CSU students, with purchase links below:

Reminders for fans:
- Tickets are mobile-only. There are no on-site sales, so we encourage fans to purchase in advance of the matches
- Doors will open one hour prior to each match
- Because this is postseason play, each spectator will need to have a paid ticket to be admitted into the facility, including CSU Students, Faculty and Staff
The first match Thursday will pit Evansville (19-11 overall) against WAC opponent Sam Houston (18-9) at 5 p.m. Sam Houston was the No. 1 seed in the WAC Volleyball Tournament but suffered a 3-0 sweep against Grand Canyon.
The second match Thursday features Bradley (16-14) against Chicago State (17-10) at 7:30 p.m. The Cougars feature the WAC Coach of the Year (
Tony Trifonov) and Player of the Year (
Yanlis Feliz). The Cougars established a school-record 17 Division I wins and earned the No. 3 seed in the WAC Volleyball Tournament where they fell to Stephen F Austin in a five-set match.
The winner of the Evansville-Sam Houston match will face the winner of the Chicago State-Bradley contest on Friday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. The winner of that match will advance to the third round scheduled for Dec. 6-8, with the site to be determined based on results.
This is the fourth edition of the NIVC since its reboot through Triple Crown Sports. The event previously ran from 1989-95. Previous champions of the current NIVC are Georgia Tech (2019), Iowa State (2018) and Ole Miss (2017).
The 2021 NIVC features Round 1 and 2 action from Dec. 2-5, Round 3 is scheduled for Dec. 6-8. The semifinals will be held Dec. 8-11 and the championship match be played Dec. 12-14.

Chicago State University Athletics is comprised of 15 intercollegiate teams involving over 150 student-athletes that compete in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and volleyball. Their feat marked the first time the Chicago State's men's track & field program was represented at the national meet.
