OPENING TIP: The Chicago State men's basketball team continues its three-game road swing tomorrow night by traveling to Madison, Wis., for a showdown on ESPNU against host Wisconsin at the Kohl Center with a start time of 8 p.m.

SCOUTING CSU: CSU heads to Madison with a 2-13 record following an eight-day break after opening its road swing on Dec. 19 with an 88-76 defeat at SIUE despite having five players scoring in double figures with senior guard Glen Burns (West Memphis, Ark./West Memphis Christian) leading the team with a career-best 18 points. Junior guard Fred Sims, Jr. (Chicago, Ill./North Lawndale) is scoring a team-best 14.1 points a game and is shooting 88 percent (35-of-40) from the free throw line, while senior forward/center Deionte Simmons (Detroit, Mich./Lewisville (Texas)) leads the team with 5.2 rebounds a game and shooting 60 percent (53-of-89) from the field to go along with scoring 9.8 points per contest. Burns is dishing out a team-leading 3.9 assists a game and ranks third on the team with 8.3 points per game.

SCOUTING WIS: Wisconsin returns to action following an 81-60 home victory over in-state foe Green Bay last Saturday at the Kohl Center for its second consecutive win. Redshirt junior forward Ethan Happ leads the Badgers with 16.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game on the season. Freshman guard Brad Davison has shot 45 percent from the field, is connecting on 40 percent of his three-point attempts and posted a team-best 1.7 steals per game while scoring 11.8 points a game.

SERIES HISTORY: Tomorrow's game marks the third lifetime meeting between the Cougars and the Badgers with UW holding a 2-0 leading margin. Wisconsin claimed a 69-51 victory over CSU last season at Kohl on Nov. 17, 2016 while Sims led all scorers with 26 points and went 6-of-11 from downtown.

TOP-10 THREE-POINT SHOOTER IN THE WAC: Senior guard Montana Byrd (Chicago, Ill./Mount Carmel) currently ranks second in the Western Athletic Conference for three-point field goal percentage as he has connected on 48 percent (20-of-46) of his shots from downtown.

UP NEXT: The Cougars conclude their road swing on Saturday, Dec. 30 in Michigan as they face off against Western Michigan at WMU Arena in Kalamazoo with the opening tip set for 3:30 p.m.
