CHICAGO -

This Week: The Chicago State women's soccer team begins the final stretch of its season schedule with a pair of Western Athletic Conference games this weekend. CSU welcomes New Mexico State to Ray and Joan Kroc Stadium tomorrow afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. then travels to Texas for a Sunday morning battle at UT Rio Grande Valley with the opening kickoff set for 11 a.m.

Scouting the Cougars: The Green and White bring a season record of 1-16 into this week's action and holds a 0-4 mark in conference play following last weekend's road losses at Grand Canyon (0-7) and CSU Bakersfield (1-6). Chicago State is paced by freshman forward Jensyn Stanberry (Grand Haven, Mich./Fruitport), who has recorded team highs of four goals and nine points on the season. Sophomore midfielder Mariela Alba (Hanover Park, Ill./Bartlett) and freshman defender Emily McGuire (Norco, Calif./Bonita) are tied for the team's assist lead with two helpers apiece. Junior goalkeeper Audra Wisehart (Sandusky, Ohio/Huron) has produced a team-best 81 saves on the year for CSU.

Scouting the Aggies: New Mexico State comes into tomorrow's contest sporting an 8-7-2 record on the year which includes a 2-1-1 mark in the WAC standings. The Aggies earned a split in last weekend's road trip out west by dropping a 5-2 decision at Utah Valley before capturing a 2-1 win at Seattle. Junior forward Audriana Chavez (nine goals, four assists) and redshirt senior forward Devin Hart (eight goals, six assists) are tied for the team's scoring lead with 22 points. Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Dmitri Fong has produced a 7-2-2 record and a goal-against average of 1.12 this season.

Scouting the Vaqueros: UT Rio Grande Valley heads into the weekend with a 7-6-2 record and is tied with New Mexico State for third in the conference standings at 2-1-1. Last weekend, the Vaqueros played some extra soccer with a pair of overtime games out west with a scoreless double overtime tie at Seattle before losing a 2-1 overtime battle at Utah Valley. Andreya Barrera is UTRGV's top scorer with 13 points and six goals, while Erica Gonzalez has notched a 5-3-1 record with four shutout wins and a 0.90 goal-against average.

WAC Leader: Wisehart currently leads the WAC in total saves and saves per game (9.00).

Striving for No. 1 – Stanberry currently ranks second on CSU's single-season list for goals scored and is one tally shy from tying for the record currently held by Jyllian Coggins, who scored five goals in the Cougars' inaugural season in 2014.

Up Next: The Cougars close out their season on Oct. 28 at Kroc Stadium with senior day against WAC opponent UMKC with a start time of 1 p.m.
