Cougars Fall to Utah Valley in Return to Jacoby Dickens Center, 3-0

CHICAGO – Junior Lauryn Dela Cruz (Provo, Utah/Timpview) and freshman Lacee Adams (Muncie, Ind./Muncie Central) both recorded match highs for host Chicago State as it fell to visiting Utah Valley in three sets here tonight in the team's return to the Jacoby Dickens Center.

The Wolverines claimed the first two sets by identical scores of 25-22 before winning the final set by a 25-19 margin.

Dela Cruz recorded 14 kills while adding nine digs and two block assists, and Adams finished with 34 assists with seven digs. Sophomore Megan Klavitter (Fenton, Mich./Linden) finished with a match high-tying 13 digs and led all players with three service aces for CSU.

UVU was led by Lexi Thompson's 14 kills and 27 assists from Sierra Starley, while Seren Merrill equaled Klavitter for top match honors with 13 digs.

The Green and White conclude their Western Athletic Conference homestand on Saturday afternoon against Seattle in a WAC Digital Network live broadcast beginning at 12 p.m.
