Men’s Basketball Drops 82-72 Decision at UTRGV

EDINBURG, Texas – Three players scored in double figures for the Chicago State men's basketball team as it dropped an 82-72 decision at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Thursday evening in a Western Athletic Conference battle at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.
 
Senior Kieran Woods (Chicago, Ill./Crane) came off the bench to produce a team-high 16 points for Chicago State, who saw its record fall to 4-15 (0-3 WAC) on the year. Woods also finished with six rebounds, four assists and a game-high three steals.
 
The Green and White also received 12 points from junior Jordan Madrid-Andrews (Denver, Colo./Bishop Machebeauf) on 6-of-7 shooting from the field and freshman Anthony Eaves (Louisville, Ky./Ballard) added 10 points. Junior Trayvon Palmer (Milwaukee, Wis./Brown Deer) grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds and fellow classmate Quron Davis (Chicago, Ill./Simeon) finished with two blocked shots.
 
The Vaqueros (5-13, 1-2) had five players score in double figures and were led by Antonio Green's game-high 21 points.
 
CSU closes out its WAC weekend road swing Saturday night with at defending conference champion New Mexico State on ESPN 3 with a start time of 7 p.m., Mountain Time.
