SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Cougars women's golf team finished in ninth place totaling a 670 (337-333).
Belmont won the team championship after posting a score of 602 (295-307). They had their top three players among the top 5.
Chicago State sophomore
Fernanda Valdes Solis (Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico/Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey) finished with CSU's best score, a 158 (79-79). Solis par 3 performance was in the top five of the tournament, which gave her a top-20 individual finish.
Casey MacNeil (Massey, Ontario/Espanola) struggled as she finished in 39th place.
Tali Letoi (Lakeside, Calif./El Capitan) shot 87-85.
Taneka Sandiford (Nassau, Bahamas/St. John's College High School) shot 90-86.
Pia Serrano (San Antonio, Texas/Antonian College Preparatory) concluded the top five finishers for the Cougars.
As an individual,
TiAnna Ford (Roy, Wash./Yelm) shot 106-107.
Chicago State gets back on the course in two weeks (April 5-6) when they take part in the IPFW Invitational in Fort Wayne, Indiana
