Cougars Win Battle Against Utah Valley 65-44

Box Score Chicago, IL - Chicago State (8-22, 4-9 WAC) won 65-44 in conference play against Utah Valley (10-18, 4-9 WAC), Saturday afternoon at the Jones Convocation Center.

The Cougars got out to a quick start with a nine point run holding the Wolverines off the scoreboard for the first 6 minutes of play. CSU maintained a commanding lead, ending the first half 30-14.

The second half was similar to the first as the Cougars continued to outplay Utah Valley. The Cougars maintained their dominance throughout the enitre game as they owned the the lead for 39:11 of the 40 minutes of play. The Cougars never trailed the Wolverines as they cruised to victory.

Clarke Rosenberg (Skokie, Ill./Evanston Township) led the team with 26 points. Sean Hill (Chicago, IL/Harlan Community Academy High School) also had 17 points for the game.

The Men's team travel to New Mexico next Saturday March 7th to take on New Mexico State in the final regular season matchup of the year.
