OPENING TIP – Chicago State men's basketball closes out a five-game road swing this Saturday afternoon as it heads to Rosemont, Ill., for a non-conference showdown at Allstate Arena against inter-city DePaul in a live broadcast on the Fox Sports One channel with a start time of 1:07 p.m.

SCOUTING CSU – The Green and White look to break a four-game losing skid as it enters Saturday's battle with the Blue Demons sporting a 3-5 season record. CSU dropped its last contest at Northern Illinois by a score of 80-58 on Wednesday evening to open the month with junior guard Elliott Cole (Chicago, Ill./Powerhouse) leading the team with 17 points and junior guard/forward Trayvon Palmer (Milwaukee, Wis./Brown Deer) adding 10 points. The Cougars have three players that have double figure scoring averages with Cole leading the way at 15 points per game to go along with a team-best 3.3 assists a game. Senior guard Kieran Woods (Chicago, Ill./Crane) is second in scoring at 13.9 points a game and leads CSU with three steals per contest, and Palmer is averaging 12.3 points a game and grabbing a team-high 8.6 rebounds per game.

SCOUTING DU – DePaul is playing just its second home game of the season at Allstate going into Saturday and the first contest since its season opener on Nov. 14. The Blue Demons evened their record to 3-3 on Wednesday night after capturing an 82-55 road win at UIC with senior forward Myke Henry scoring 17 points to lead four players in double figures. Like CSU, DU also has three players with double figure scoring averages this season with junior guard Billy Garrett, Jr. leading the way at 15 points per game and he is also the team's assist leader dishing out four helpers per contest. Henry is averaging 13.2 points a game while shooting a team-high .638 (30-of-47) from the field.

 
SERIES HISTORY – DePaul has amassed a 13-0 lead in the all-time series with CSU and Saturday's game is the sixth consecutive meeting between the two teams. The Blue Demons captured an 84-60 win over the Cougars last season at the Jones Convocation Center as Clark Rosenberg led the Green and White with 20 points.

STRIVE FOR NO. 1 – CSU head coach Tracy Dildy heads into Saturday's game needing five wins to become the program's record holder for most Division I coaching wins. Dildy has amassed 45 career wins and is behind legendary Cougar bench boss Bob Hallberg (49) for the record.

PALM(ER) ON THE BOARDS – Junior Trayvon Palmer (Milwaukee, Wis./Brown Deer) has been tenacious on the rebounding front this season for the Green and White as he has produced three games with double digit caroms, including a career-best 16 boards versus Indiana University Northwest on Nov. 18. Palmer is currently third in the Western Athletic Conference in total rebounds (8.6 rpg) and offensive rebounds (3.9 orpg). 

UP NEXT - The Cougars return to the Jones Convocation Center on Friday, Nov. 11 with a non-conference battle against defending Horizon League champion Valparaiso. The game will be shown live online on the WAC Digital Network with a start time of 7:05 p.m.
