Final ResultsBowling Green, Ohio - The Chicago State women's golf team finished the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational today (April 13) in a tie for sixth place after shooting a 645 (315-330).
Senior
Brooke Melvin (Temecula, Calif./Great Oak) (76-81) and freshman
Fernanda Valdes Solis (Morelia, Michoacán/Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey) (77-80) shot a 157 and tied for eighth place. It's Melvin's fifth top-ten performance of the season and the 11th of her career. For Solis, the freshman now has five top-ten finishes including two in the spring season.
Playing as an individual, sophomore
Casey MacNeil (Massey, Ont./Espanola) had a 164 (78-86). Freshman
Tali Letoi (Lakeside, Calif./El Capitan) scored an 83 in both rounds to finish with a 166 while sophomore
Lorelle Weavers (Burlington, Ont./Lester B Pearson) also shot a 166 (79-87). Senior
Jessica Peatross (Lansing, Mich./Holt) totaled a 173 (87-86).
Ball State won the team competition with a 628 (304-324). Bowling Green's Lily Bartell finished on top of the leaderboard after shooting a 151 (76-75).
The Cougars return to action in two weeks when they head to Mesa, Arizona for the Western Athletic Conference Championship (April 25-27).
