Final Results
Carbondale, Ill. - The Chicago State women's golf team took third place at the Saluki Invitational hosted by Southern Illinois at the Hickory Ridge Golf Course on Monday (March 31).
Chicago State has finished in the top five in every event this season.
The Cougars finished the two-day tournament with a team score of 638 (320-318). Sophomore
Lorelle Weavers (Burlington, Ont./Lester B Pearson) (80-78) and senior
Brooke Melvin (Temecula, Calif./Great Oak)(79-79) each posted a 158 to lead CSU. Senior
Jessica Peatross (Lansing, Mich./Holt) improved her second round score by seven strokes and finished with a 161 (84-77). Sophomore
Casey MacNeil (Massey, Ont./Espanola) had a 166 (77-89) while freshman
Fernanda Valdes Solis (Morelia, Michoacán/Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey) took home a 173 (89-84). Freshman
Tali Letoi (Lakeside, Calif./El Capitan), playing as an individual, put up a 167 (81-86).
Southern Illinois won the 14-team tournament with a 617 (309-308). Evansville's Kayla Katterbury maintained her first day lead and won the individual title with a 147 (69-78).

Alyssa Gaudio's squad returns to the golf course this Sunday (April 6) at the IPFW Women's Golf Spring Classic at the Pine Valley Country Club in Fort Wayne, Ind.
