Box Score Chicago, IL – Chicago State Suffers an 84-60 defeat to DePaul University. The game began with a slow start offensively, but the Cougars kept the Blue Demons in their sights as they trailed by 4 points (15-11) at the 11-minute mark of the first half. However, DePaul began to separate by half time, ending the half with a score of 47-30.
The Cougars were able to trim the deficit to 13 by the 7-minute mark of the second half but were unable to close in on the Blue Demons any further as DePaul went on 10-1 run during the next three minutes of the game.
Tommy Hamilton led the Blue Demons with 25 points and eight rebounds. Myke Henry added 12 points and six rebounds to the effort in their victory. Senior
Clarke Rosenberg (Skokie, Ill./Evanston Township) led the Cougars with a team high of 20 points.
Joshua Meier (Justice, IL/Harold L. Richards High School) (Justice, IL/Harold L. Richards HS) added nine points, seven rebounds and a steal in the tough loss to the cross town rival.
DePaul moves to 5-1 on the season, while Chicago State (2-7) looks for their next victory on the road against Toledo on Saturday (Dec. 6).
