SERIES HISTORY -
The Panthers lead the all-time series with Chicago State 17-6. The Panthers won the last meeting between the two schools (Jan. 24, 2009) 82-68.

WHAT ARE PROBABLE STARTERS? -
Chicago State has used 12 different starting lineups this season. The only two Cougars who have started every game are senior Jeremy Robinson (Decatur, Ill./Eisenhower) and junior Matt Ross (Dixon, Ill./Dixon).

Chicago State head coach Tracy Dildy is the cousin of Eastern Illinois assistant coach Emanuel Dildy.

The Cougars are 4-6 in their last 10 games, with all four losses coming by five points or less.

DESTINATION: WAC 2013-14 -
Chicago State has accepted an invitation to join the Western Athletic Conference. The Cougars will join the WAC for the 2013-14 season. Thanks to UMKC joining the WAC on Thursday (Feb. 7), the membership for the WAC in 2013-14 includes: California State University, Bakersfield; Chicago State University; Grand Canyon University; University of Idaho; University of Missouri Kansas City; New Mexico State University; Seattle University, The University of Texas-Pan American and Utah Valley University.

TAKING IT AWAY -
The Cougars rank 9th in the nation in steals per game by averaging 9.6 swipes a contest. The Cougars haven't finished a season ranking in the top 10 in the nation in a category since the 2008-09 squad ranked third in both scoring (84.2) and steals per game (10.0).

TIME TO ADD ON -
The Cougars' eight victories are the most since CSU won nine games in 2009-10.

BALANCED ATTACK -
The Cougars are the only team in the Great West Conference with five players averaging 8.0 points per game or more. A fifth, Nate Duhon (Lansing, Mich./Sexton), is averaging 7.3 per game.

FREE FOR A REASON -
Chicago State leads the Great West Conference in free throw percentage by making 269-of-370 (.727).

FROM BEYOND THE ARC -
Chicago State leads the Great West Conference in 3-pointers per game with 7.2 per game The 15 treys Chicago State made against Houston Baptist on Jan. 19 are the most by a GWC team this year.

ASSIST WHEN NEEDED -
The Cougars have recorded 12 or more assists in eight of their last 10 games.

“DISH” MUKES  -
Jamere Dismukes (Park Forest, Ill./Rich East) leads the GWC with 5.2 assists per game in conference play.

The Cougars have found their way offensively in Great West Conference play, averaging a GWC best 65.8 points per game in conference contests.

Junior Quinton Pippen (Hamburg, Ark./Hamburg) is the nephew of former Chicago Bull Scottie Pippen. Not surprising, Quinton wears No. 33.

RELATIVE GREATNESS X2-
Junior Mashawn Chamberlain (Chicago, Ill./De La Salle)'s cousin is New Orleans Hornets forward Anthony Davis. The No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft Davis was in the stands to see Chamberlain when the Cougars played at Tulane on Nov. 18.

PRESEASON ACCOLADES -
CollegeBasketballTalk.com and CollegeSportsMadness.com each pegged senior Jeremy Robinson (Decatur, Ill./Eisenhower) as their 2012-13 Preseason Great West Conference Player of the Year Selection. The GWC head coaches picked Robinson as a 2012-13 All-Preseason First Team selection.

BRAINS AND BRAWN -
In the classroom, Jeremy Robinson (Decatur, Ill./Eisenhower) was a CSU  Athletic Director's Honor Roll choice last year for a GPA over 3.50. Nate Henry (Chicago, Ill./Farragut) was named a Cougar Scholar Athlete for a GPA between 3.00 and 3.49.

NEW AND IMPROVED -
Senior Jeremy Robinson (Decatur, Ill./Eisenhower) was named the 2011-12 Great West Conference Newcomer of the Year last season.
