HOUSTON, Texas – Junior Jeremy Robinson (Decatur, Ill./Eisenhower) (Decatur, Ill.) posted a double-double with game highs of 17 points and 14 rebounds as visiting Chicago State knocked off host Houston Baptist Thursday night in a Great West Conference contest at HBU's Sharp Gym by a score of 65-56.
The Cougars improved their season record to 4-22 (2-6) with the win and the Huskies fell to 8-17 (1-5) on the year.
Robinson shot 7-of-13 from the field and connected on 3-of-4 from the free throw line, while junior Matt Samuels (Washington, DC/South Suburban College) (Washington, D.C.) added 14 points.
Freshman Clarke Rosenberg (Skokie, Ill./Evanston Township) (Skokie, Ill.) and graduate student Lee Fisher (Dolton, IL/Northern Illinois) (Dolton, Ill.) rounded out the quartet with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Senior Terry Bembry paced Houston Baptist with 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field, and freshman Marcel Smith recorded 10 points.
The Green and White head to Edinburg, Texas this Saturday night for a GWC contest against host Texas-Pan American with a start time of 7 p.m.
