CHICAGO – Chicago State University will host the 2012 Great West Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 27. The event will be held at Montrose Harbor. The women's 5K race will start at 1 p.m. The men's 8K race will start at 2 p.m.
“We are looking forward to hosting a first class championship experience for student-athletes, coaches, administrators and fans,” Chicago State Athletic Director Dan Schumacher said. “Montrose Harbor, with the skyline of Chicago as a backdrop, will provide an excellent setting for the event.”
The men's teams of Chicago State, Houston Baptist, NJIT, Texas Pan-American and Utah Valley will compete for the 2012 GWC title. The same women's teams, in addition to CSU Bakersfield, will run for the 2012 GWC women's championship.
The Chicago South Loop Hotel is serving as host hotel for the event.
