LAHAINA, Maui – Senior Carl Montgomery (Chicago, IL/Shepard) (Chicago, Ill) recorded 16 points and a game-high eight rebounds to lead Chicago State men's basketball in the beginning of its four-game road swing to end 2010 here Friday evening with an 86-57 defeat to Hawai'i at the Lahaina Civic Center.
Senior Antonio Lofton (Chicago, IL/Parkland College) (Chicago, Ill.) scored nine points, and junior Ardarius Simmons (Chicago, IL/Southeastern (IA) CC) (Chicago, Ill.) contributed four assists and a game-high three steals for the Cougars.
Zane Johnson tallied a game-leading 21 points, including 15 in the second half, to lead four UH players that scored in double figures. Bo Barnes added 17 points
The Cougars continue their year-ending road swing this Tuesday night in Ames, Iowa as they battle host Iowa State with a start time of 7 p.m.
