CHICAGO, Ill. - The NEC tennis committee has announced the bracket for the NEC Women's Tennis Tournament. Chicago State is set to be the seven seed and open up their tournament against the two seed Saint Francis University. The Cougars earned the seven seed after going 1-4 in NEC play, owning the head to head battle against Mercyhurst and ahead of Binghamton who went win less in conference play.
The tournament field will have nine teams competing in the conference tournament with one first round game and four quarterfinal match ups on Thursday April 16. The two semifinal match ups will be on April 17 and the championship match will be on Saturday April 18 at 9:00 AM (CT).
The FDU Knights take the top overall seed followed by Saint Francis, LIU, Wagner, and Stonehill round out the top five seeds. Followed by Le Moyne,
Chicago State, Mercyhurst and Binghamton.

The Cougars take on Saint Francis at 8:00 AM (CT) on Thursday in the quarterfinal round. The winner will face the winner of #3 LIU and #6 Le Moyne in semifinal round.
