Chicago State Women’s Golf Completes Lady Bison Spring Invitational in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Chicago State women's golf team wrapped up competition at the Lady Bison Spring Invitational this week, finishing three rounds at the event hosted by Howard University in Gainesville, Florida. The Cougars turned in several strong individual performances across the two-day tournament, highlighted by a top-10 finish from freshman Hannah Butzer.

Butzer led the way for Chicago State with a T7 finish at +14, posting rounds of +4, +5, and +5. Her steady play throughout the event placed her among the top performers in a competitive 60-player field and marked one of the best results of her young collegiate career.

Chicago State also saw quality rounds from Begona Perez, who finished T27 at +25 and delivered a solid second-round +5 to help her climb the leaderboard. Aarushi Bhanot added another key performance for the Cougars, closing at +32.

Almudena Agüera rounded out the Cougar scoring with a +43 finish, saving her best for last with a +9 in the final round.

The Lady Bison Spring Invitational provided valuable early-spring competition for the Cougars as they continue to build momentum heading into the heart of their spring schedule. Chicago State returns to action in the ASU Spring Classic hosted by Alabama State University on March 9-10.
