Box Score Chicago State women's tennis dropped a 4-2 decision to Saint Louis University on February 21 at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
The Cougars opened the match by competing closely in doubles play. Camila Sanchez and Karolina Skowronska earned a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles, but Saint Louis claimed the doubles point with victories at Nos. 2 and 3, including a tight 7-6 (7-2) decision on Court 2.
In singles, Chicago State secured two hard-fought victories. Karolina Skowronska delivered a standout performance at No. 1, rallying for a 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (10-8) win in a third-set super tiebreak. Nikita Liyanage added a straight-set victory at No. 4 with a 6-3, 6-4 decision. Saint Louis captured three completed singles matches to seal the team win, while the No. 5 match went unfinished.
With the result, Chicago State University moves to 0-10 on the season.
