CHICAGO, Ill. - The NEC has announced their weekly women's tennis honors for the week of Feburary 12. Junior
Karolina Skowronska was named as a prime performer this week after her singles and double performances against Illinois State on February 8.
Karolina Skowronska (Wroclaw, Poland) battled Illinois State's Lana Caculovic in number one singles on Sunday morning and had a clean sweep victory 6-0,6-0. It was the junior first singles win of the season and the first Chicago State clean sweep win of the season. Skowronska was also paired with
Camila Sanchez in number one doubles on Sunday and had a lead against Lana Caculovic and Silvia Pomarolli 4-3 before the match went unfinished.
This is Skowronska's first NEC prime performer honor this season.
Karolina Skowronska and the rest of the Cougars will return to the court Saturday, Feburary 14 as they travel south to Lexington, Kentucky to battle the Kentucky Wildcats. First serve is at 2:00 p.m. (CT)
