CHICAGO, Ill. - The NEC has announced their weekly honors for men's track and field. Chicago State's
Faustin Kaseba was named NEC Rookie of the Week and Prime Performer after his performance at the Bill Clinger Classic at Grand Valley State on January 23.
Faustin Kaseba (Atlanta, Georgia) competed in the 60 meter hurdles and ran an 8.18 in the event in the preliminary round. The new personal best increases his lead in the NEC and the new time now puts him at eight tenths ahead of the next fastest time in the conference. Kaseba finished third at Grand Valley State in the event. Kaseba will look to carry the momentum with two indoor regular season competitions remaining as the NEC Indoor Championships are just around the corner.
Kaseba on the rest of the men's track and field team will return to action for the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on January 30-31 from Louisville, Kentucky.
